European Driving Requirements

Some countries in Europe have a minimum legal requirement of equipment you must carry in your vehicle to assist you if you break down. This helps to both keep you safe and aid the police and recovery agents to find and rescue you from your breakdown location.

Below are listed the minimum required items you will need to have with you in your vehicle when travelling through various European countries. Please ensure that you have all the required items for each country that you will be travelling through, as the requirements can change as you cross the border.

Athough we have a comprehensive list, we cannot guarentee that we have listed all countries that may have minimum legals requirements, or that this list will contain every requirement. It is your responsibility to check for any updated legal requirements in the areas you will be travelling in.

Whilst we try to keep this information up to date, the driving rules and regulations in Europe may change without notice and this information may subsequently become inaccurate. We accept no responsibility for information which may become out of date or liability for incorrect information.
